Lily Cornell Silver, daughter of former Soundgarden and Alice in Chains manager Susan Silver and the late Chris Cornell, has launched a discussion program called Mind Wide Open to normalize the topic of mental health in his honor. She made the announcement May 18, which is the three-year anniversary of his death. The new series will take place on Instagram and will feature interviews with mental health professionals, public figures and other notable guests who seek to keep the conversations surrounding mental health going. Halestorm's Lzzy Hale fronts all-star virtual Thin Lizzy cover.

In recent months, rockers have been enjoying the possibilities of collaborating via virtual sessions, and that has continued with guitarist Phil Demmel gathering an all-star group to take on one of his favorite songs, Thin Lizzy's "Bad Reputation." And who better to sing Lizzy than Lzzy ... Hale, that is. Demmel's collective for the first in his series of "Collab-a-Jams" includes his onetime Machine Head bandmate and drummer Dave McClain, Judas Priest guitar shredder Richie Faulkner, Alice in Chains bass god Mike Inez and the power vocals of Halestorm's Lzzy Hale. The new single, "Death by Rock and Roll," is a personal one that has been dedicated to the memory of late producer Kato Khandwala. Artwork for Led Zeppelin's album 1969 is going up for auction in June this year! The sale is being hosted by the Christie's Auction House and will be accepting bids between June 2 and June 18. The artwork is expected to bring in between $20,000 and $30,000 The album cover was designed by George Hardie, a member of the London-based Hipgnosis art design group. It was designed as a stipple - a drawing technique that uses small dots. The design was created by Hardie when he traced Sam Shere's original photograph of the Hindenburg disaster which took place in 1937.
