The boys of Metallica have told fans that they plan to rock some massive shows including stadium shows as part of their 2019 sprawling world tour.
LA foursome — James Hetfield, Robert Trujillo, Lars Ulrich and Kirk Hammett — told fans they’ll be staging a European stadium tour from May to August 2019. The biggest of all events planned though will be for Henry Mountcharles on the banks of Boyne at Slane castle.
Irish media are excited to welcome Metallica to Slane castle and an insider quoted to the Irish sun " Heavy rock has always been the biggest draw for Slane. Metallica are the perfect choice for 2019 as they go right back to the heavy rock of Thin Lizzy who headlines the very first Slane in 1981"
Back in 2017 the legendary Guns'n Roses headlined Slane and tickets sold like ice in the desert with 80,000 tickedts being sold in the very first day!
Metallica drummer Lars was interviewed last year where he mentioned how they had planned a 2018 show but the Dublin arena was not capable of hosting the show due to the Pyro they wanted to use.
