An unnamed man has been taken to hospital after a bulldog bit off his almighty weapon.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: 'Police in East Lothian are investigating after a man suffered serious injuries, believed to have been caused by a dog, in Haddington on Sunday.

The Olde English Bulldogge responsible is being held in kennels as officers investigate.
Olde English Bulldogges were bred in the early 1970s in an attempt to recreate the historic Bulldog breed but with a less aggressive temperament.
The Bulldogs were popular up until the 19th century at the peak of bull baiting and had previously been used by butchers to immobilize the animals so they could be slaughtered.
