KORN release new album 'The Nothing' today.
It has been twenty-five years since KORN debuted in 1994 with their self titled album. Their newest album 'The Nothing' was released today and proves KORN are once again at the top of their creative game. In a recent interview with Revolver magazine, KORN guitarist James Schaffer spoke of the challenge of creating music strong enough to support fellow band member, Jonathan Davis following the death of his wife. Davis lost his wife last year to a drug overdose after her long battle with addiction. Davis channeled that grief into his lyrics and vocals on tracks 'Cold' and "You'll never find me'. The former incorporating moments of extreme metal ferocity that KORN haven't brought to the table for many years.Track 'Finally free' is a direct reference to the end of the late Deven Davis's fight with addiction. While KORN have always lived best within the darkness, 'The Nothing' was no doubt forged in the crucible of tragedy and looks to be KORN's best work yet.
