This summer’s Hella Mega tour by Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy has been officially postponed due to COVID-19 international travel restrictions and various rules around gatherings. A statement released by the bands today read:
”We kept trying to put this piece of the puzzle together, but unfortunately it’s just not possible due to the uncertainty of the government Covid-19 travel restrictions, mass gatherings and most importantly for the safety of our fans, crew and staff,”
“We love you all and we’ll be back there rocking with you at some point.”
The iconic American rock bands were due to play two joint stadium shows – Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on November 20 and Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on November 22. All ticket holders will receive a full refund available at the point of purchase.
